Why Shames
A big coastal snowpack, owned by the people who ski it
Stock photo One of the deepest snowpacks in Canada
That is the co-op's own claim, and it is the reason people drive the Skeena to get here. Shames sits 35 km west of Terrace, where the coast range wrings the Pacific dry.
Stock photo 111 acres of natural glades
Alongside 141 acres of cut runs, the co-op counts 111 acres of natural glades. Same lift ticket, same 488 metres of vertical, no rope to duck.

Also the co-op's own words. A member-owned hill sets prices for the people who own it — which is why a child's season pass and a Senior Plus pass cost what they do.
The co-op
Canada's first non-profit ski cooperative
Shames was not saved by an investor. It was bought by its skiers.

The owners announced their retirement. With no buyer, the hill could have closed — so a group formed to keep it open.

Indigenous Adventure Pass
50% off day passes, rentals and lessons
My Mountain Co-op runs an Indigenous Adventure Pass offering 50% off day passes, rentals and lessons for First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. It is one of the programmes the co-op already runs — and one this concept moves onto the front page, because a rate that low only works if people know it exists.

The co-op's news belongs here
My Mountain Co-op already writes and publishes news regularly. In a live build the three most recent posts would sit in this block automatically, so the front page is never older than the last thing the co-op wrote. No headlines are shown here because inventing them would defeat the point.
Questions about a pass?
This is a concept site with no working forms. Talk to the co-op directly — and note there is no phone or internet service at the ski area itself, so reach the Terrace office rather than the hill.
